A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, a baby girl was born who grew up with
twin passions - art and animals ….. Well, actually, it was Yorkshire, in 1947,
and the baby girl grew up to be me. I now live on the coast in East Anglia, with
my husband of 40 years, Edd, and an assortment of dogs - at present, five Bedlington
Terriers, two Whippets and a grizzled old Lurcher who sneaked in there somehow.
Ever since I could hold a pencil, I've been drawing - mainly animals - and I now
specialise in pastels and acrylics of horses, dogs, wildlife and the occasional
"person" portrait. Pastels are my first love as an arts medium, as I find they
lend themselves perfectly to the depiction of fur and feathers, but for the last
couple of years I've also been working with acrylics.
Besides my painting, I am also involved
with the world of dog showing - we have had a successful 30 years with the Whippets
and Bedlingtons, under the SEVRAY affix (first registered with the Kennel Club
in 1977) - and I judge at all levels, including judging Bedlingtons at Crufts
in 2005.
Please take a look at my website, to see a gallery of my paintings, some of which
are now in homes across the world, and also the dogs.
